ESSENTIAL AND OPTIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Education/experience: 
1. Experience selling in the local Greece, Cyprus markets preferably in the tourism industry.
2. College or university degree
3. Minimum of 2 years sales experience

Knowledge:
1. Advanced knowledge of sales/hospitality principles and practices 
2. Strong working knowledge of Sales & Marketing and MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)

3. Knowledge of the Greek Meeting/Group markets

4. Experience with social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook,..)

Skill: 
1. Must possess communications skills in terms of the ability to negotiate, convince, sell and influence professionals and demonstrate hunger for business.
2. Ability to investigate and analyze current activities or information in the sales/marketing field and make logical conclusions and recommendations
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal 

Desirable qualifications: 
Three or more years in a sales capacity with a strong understanding and confidence level selling to a wide range of clientele.  Proactive with a demonstrated eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple functions and projects while meeting deadlines. Bilingualism is a definite asset (Greek-English)

KEY TASKS

Responsible for his/her accounts within the Company’s segment. As a Sales person you will proactively solicit group business, plan, set strategies and negotiate group sales within the indicated segments, of 20 sales or more to meet and/or exceed revenue goals. You will have a full working knowledge of tourism operations. Performance is measured by the attainment of individual revenue targets and assessment of performance.

• Assists and complies with sales policies and procedures and brand standards, developing, enhancing and implementing thereof.
• Participates as an active member in Tourism related social and community activities.
• Supports team members when required.
• Participates in prescribed training and special projects as needed.
• Supports and encourages positive team approach.
• Attends all internal meetings as required
• Researches markets in order to identify potential sources of business and re-prioritize activities as needed.
• Ensures all external correspondence is benefit oriented, comprehensive, professional, timely and addresses company’s and client needs. 
• Accurately confirms all transactions/bookings, quotes and negotiates rates while adhering to company’s  rate structure, and corporate policies and procedures.
• Replies to inquiries within 24 hours or as per requested lead-time if less.
• Prepares and submits weekly and monthly production reports, activity reports, sales trips reports, action plans, and other reports as necessary in a timely manner.
• Maintains an effective trace and follow up of accounts using company’s system.
• Collects market and competitive intelligence to assess and implement strategies and long term goals.
• Regularly conducts competitive price shopping to ensure company is appropriately priced for all seasons in specific market segments.
• Provides clients with a level of service that meets or exceeds their expectations.
• Maintains on-going relationship with Tourism Greece and Cyprus.
• Coordinates customers specifications with other departments when needed and responds to issues and comments to ensure a quality experience, enhancing future sales opportunities
• Assists with the development of competitive intelligence and group market strategies in preparation of the Marketing Plan, annually, especially as it relates to the Association, Sports, Religious and market segment.
• Individually responsible for achievement of sales activities, referrals and all objectives outlined in the action plan.
• Daily visits the website to review business leads and provides suggestions on the direction of the website.
• Attends tradeshows, sales blitzes and sales calls as required
